Paola Giannini

Born in 1977. After two years of studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, she decided to switch to theatre studies, a course she completed in 2001. As an actress she has worked in theatre, film and television. In 2005, moved by Gogol’s The Overcoat, she decided to transfer the novella to the stage. Meeting Aline Kuppenheim and working on the production encouraged her to start her own theatre company, with which she is now preparing another puppet production. “The work for this theatre is my own ‘Overcoat’,” says Giannini.

During the Dialog-Wrocław Festival Paola Giannini will present The Overcoat based on Nikolai Gogol’s story
